Opportunity assassins

So, as you watch wistfully as your opportunities get assassinated ..you decide to do something about it. There certainly has to be better way in which they smoothly sail into your door instead of ramming themselves elsewhere and running into ‘procrastination’-he’s mean, and his gang members , ‘Complacency’ and ‘Tisok’, meaner.

'Procrastination' works on you slowly..is super deadly. Relies on his other two partners mostly, works efficiently through his affiliate groups - 'Needrest' , 'Doitomorrow' and 'Chillax' (All meanies trust me !)

'Complacency’ is a little laid back goon, who believes in inaction. 'Most of the problems in this world get sorted out on their own in time but “YOU” ' –points a finger at me – 'decide to intervene', he hollers. I dislike him and try to keep the conversations very short whenever we meet. He calls himself CC..

‘Tisok’ is a complete charmer, he lulls you with sense of smug satisfaction and derails the opportunities coming to you by distracting you...by blocking communication..with no communication and no sense of urgency the opportunities that wait for that one call, one timely intervention from me, go away feeling scorned and insulted. ‘Tisok’ then as a smooth operator notices the twinge of gloom in my heart and tries to distract me further by sharing loony tales of how better times await me and why I shouldn’t really feel upset about those silly little opportunities who sobbed their way out of my life.He heads the group 'Doitomorrow'.

And if you listen to ‘Tisok’ at this juncture, you’ll be doomed.. for small opportunities lead you to big ones. And it’s never ok to ignore opportunities that are at your door.Because as Thomas Carlye says:Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what clearly lies at hand.

So beware of these three - 'Procrastination', the group head, the one with the beanie on, 'Complacency'- CC - the sluggish fat fellow and ‘Tisok’ ,the smart, lean, tall charmer who makes you think he’s on your team, but he’s not. The real secret is - all three of them hate your sweetheart ‘success’ and they are assassins, out to make your life miserable. So, be on guard.
